Towel Set, Bamboo Bath Towels in Coastal Blue

When Pure Fiber first told us how soft their towels were, we thought "uh huh, that's what they all say." After all, it's difficult to tell how soft something is on the internet. It's not a tangible medium. Luckily, we took their word for it and got some of them to try out.

Well... let me tell you... these are some soft towels. They're as soft as some alpaca knit wool, but lighter than cotton! Also, bamboo is highly absorbent, so they're more functional than a much thicker, heavier cotton towel. How much more absorbent, you ask? How's 60% more absorbent than cotton sound, because that's the difference we're talking about! They're naturally odor-resistant, hypoallergenic, and anti-microbial. They're like Wonder Towels!

Why Bamboo?
Bamboo is a renewable resource that is abundantly available in many parts of the world. Unlike conventional grown cotton, which requires large amounts of pesticides to maintain growth, bamboo is naturally irrigated. It can be grown as a single crop, or alternated with other crops to maintain soil nitrogen levels. Like agricultural hemp, it's very fast growing, so it takes far less land to produce the same amount of fabric than cotton.

Manufacturing Process:
Pure Fiber's towels are certified by SKAL and/or Oeko-Tex. This ensures that these textiles are made with the lowest practical ecological impact in a safe and fair working environment. All of their products are manufactured following fair trade guidelines. In the end, they're super-comfy towels that are significantly kinder to the environment than standard cotton. We were highly impressed, so we brought them to you!
